I am about to start my first HC sorc ever.

Any links or guides to share for both the progress (from norm to hell) and the mf runs ?

I am thinking about going ES on late game (cold or nova ?)

I know I will eventually die so please give me your best tips to delay as much as possible the inevitable death : block, ES, merc, gear, type of sorc etc.
