Hey guys, just wondering if there are any decent YouTube videos of Barb vs. Caster duels from the Barb perspective?

Been facing an Infinity nova sorc with my WW barb and struggling to get any hits in. I’ve read some different threads on here, but would love to see some strategy as I learn better that way. Also wonder how many lightning resist charms I need to counterbalance the self-wielding Infinity and conviction aura negative resistance coming my way.

Open to Barb dueling videos in general as well!

Also infinity will take away 85 from aura and 55 res from the infinity itself totaling 140. They also use griffs so that’s another 20. They sometimes use facets in griffs and armor too so another possible 10.

That’s -170 resistances to you so yea they’re annoying to gear vs

Gear vs infinity sorc:
Kiras + ort
Tgods
Hlords
Magefists
X2 fcr rings with usual adds like ar, dex, mana, res
Gores or res boots if you’re short on res
This should give you 235 light res not counting rings or boots. The rest you could get from scs and not have to give up grief+ beastz

If you feel like you need 63 fcr vs them you can swap Kira’s for 2/20/light res or 2/20/2os circ and put light res+ jewels in it and swap highlords for 2/5 fcr amulet with big light res etc on it. It’s annoying to swap all this for one matchup but if you do it becomes a pretty weighted matchup in your favour

You may want some life/lr scs as well vs this type

Another version is to use a 10fcr/adds/lr ring + 20fcr diadem of any kind with high LR and a cham rune.
Either way, ur breakpoint to hit in this duel is 63fcr. I would assume 27fhr break is enought. Ias breakpoint is reached thanks to HL and theese sorcs dont slow you anyway.

Rest is up to ur skill, should be fairly easy to chainstomp them with throwlock chains and berserk, wirl if they try to walk it out. And if you somehow are not able to land theese, leap once and get namelock while he is stunned. Remember he has to get close.
Once u stack his negative res, then a wisp is enought absorb. His dmg is low when no light pierce.

I think you’d still be about 50 res short with that setup but you could swap the Cham in griff for light res+ jewel and add some scs to make up for it!
