technically you can reroll the item and write down all the affixes you get in the process, this will at least give a lower boundary for the ilvl. not saying this is a wise procedure to do, but I am trying to get to the creative solutions here

From act 2 norm onwards every area is 12+
There may be some monsters in some alvl 12 areas who have lower mlvl so ilvl would be lower.
From act 3 norm onwards every rare jewel will be lvl12+, no matter where or by whom it dropped.
