Anyone has ever used a VPN to reduce lag?

I currently live in Brazil. If I create my own games the ping is super low since there are servers here (unlike vanilla)

but all pvp servers are ofc in America so I'm lagged af (150-250 ping)

I'm trying to use Exit Lag, but it is weird

I can select the region I want my ip to be at and it seems to work (Exit Lag says my I'm connected to their server in that place)

But when I connect do bnet (still didnt join a game) it always connects me to the same Blizzard server (I think in Los Angeles).

Then, when I create or join a game nothing seems to change. If I created the game the ping is super low, as if I was in Brazil, and if I join an American game the ping is high

Exit Lag will still say my ip is from the region I chose and that I'm connected to the Los Angeles server, no matter what game I joined/created



Can someone shed some light?

Using a vpn will get you instantly banned
