res is capped at -100. since most monsters on hell have some default resists, it's almost always worth to go for -res. the facet -res is added after aura -res, even without being diminished to 1/5!

That -70 goes on YOUR fire res, not enemy

In ur scenario:
A enemy less than 100% fire res will be reduced by conviction and lr and items negative res without any restrictions.
So if enemy had 60fire res. Then:
60 - 150 - 10 = -100 which is also the cap.

If enemy has above 100% res he is immune. That value can be forexample 130 fire res. Immune monsters are not affected by such as facets. Its however affected by conv and lr, but at a 1/5th rate.
So if its affected by conv with -150 its like this:
130-(150/5) = 100 (since 100 or above, monster is still immune and not affected by facets and such)

If monster is 130 fire res, but u use a fire sunder.
He is now 95 res instead, conv works at 1/5th again so its:
95 - (150/5) = 65. Since he is below immunity level all types of facets and such now works at full effectiveness. So if u had 2 facets with a total of -10 fire res it would be:
95 - (150/5) - 10 = 55.

Thank you for this! It’s the most clear breakdown I’ve read so far
