Anybody tried a -30/30 weapon for their Fire sorc lately? With -res being a big deal nowadays I figured it might be worth a shot

Switching from 0 to 30ish -res made a huge difference so I figured another 30 would be a good idea

Ahhh im not too sure about pvm for fire sorc, but i would think theres a couple of combination that would be good wrt to -res.
Sunder+infinity a must
-6facet sword + spirit
-hoto + jmod(4facet)
-escuta (1facet) + headhunterglory (3facet)

Each of them would have their own merits be it higher dmg/maxblock/more res or a balance of these variables.

It also highly depends on what player count u usually plan on.
Like too much dmg is overkill on p1 and inefficient.
Or p8 might require more -res and higher dmg setups.
Or if u do seal pops or some dangerous areas, having maxblock might be better to save u from dolls and doomknights.

yeah 30/30 is bis. it's a ridiculous damage increase over hoto

here's a standard fire build:
-30/+xx wep
flickering flame
viper rbf
phoenix mon
mages
arach
any boots will do
+2 fire/sorc 15+ fcr amu
2x fcr rings

you won't even need infy to go with that. it'll help, but you're gonna shred p8 anyway with all that - fire res.

an alternative build is to use a +3 fire 20 fcr double rbf circ and sojs instead of flickering + fcr rings. those are the only two build options you should consider

I'm running CoA with facets and aim to keep it that way since I'm HC. Paired with Phoenix I'm currently at -38 fr

You sound sure about 30/30. It's pricey so I didn't want to throw money away for nothing, but now I feel good about it. Ty!

Nvm, Dolphy already post same setup. Anyway aim for -5% on you RBF’s if can’t get 5/5’s to your sword.
