Self wield infinity sorc, with vipermagi and insight on merc

Versus

Light eschuta sorc with +3 nova ormus, spirit shield, and infinity on merc

Both builds hitting 105fcr breakpoint, no 200fcr. Both builds absolutely crushing everything. So my question is, is it basically personal preference at this point?

If you don't self wield infinity, you either go 200 fcr, or just have to option to go more tanky with max block. Or enigma + forstburn instead of viper/ormus or magefist. Huge mana boost -> more safe.

yeah, I guess it's a matter of preference. do you prefer having a shitty char or a good one?

second build is trash outside of p1. and if you don't like self-wield infy for some reason, use cmoon. eschu gives you a tiny damage boost (that you don't need) vs non-immunes, and you only deal a fraction of the dmg vs broken immunes. not to mention losing out on meditation aura

Haha no I love self wield infinity, I finally got my sorc to level 96 that way. I was just curious if there were other viable options

E/ would eschutas be more for a Lightning/chain Lightning sorc? Or pvp sorc? Not sure exactly where it fits

eschuta is bad on everything. the + light damage only adds to your lightning mastery, which adds up to basically nothing. your actual damage is much more dependent on your - enemy light res (cmoon for light sorc, infy for nova sorc)
