just bought a gamble pack of 40 rare unid pelts which supposedly dropped in a3+ or Tz in hell

now when identifying them, most of em (80%+) were level 30 or lower req
does that imply a low item level?
and wouldnt that be suspicious if actually found in a3+ or Tz hell?

I knew I was gonna get crap mostly but I kinda expected pelts to have higher lvl req (which imo comes with higher proba to get useful mods, no?)

Tldr: can you reverse engineer the drop area lvl from the req lvl of an item??

no, only a lower boundary. level req is tied to the affixes which are via their affix levels tied to the item level which is tied to the monster level which is tied to the area level. but the item level only gives an upper boundary to the possible affix levels. thats why a baal GC can spawn with just +1 max. if that relation was bidirectional, there might not be any rare item with 6 mods since i am not sure if there are at all 3 suffixes and affixes which share the same affix level
