On my new ele druid im wondering if I should add enough dex to get to max block for my spirit monarch. My cyclone armor absorbs much magical damage however I am still taking some damage from various mobs namely the stygan dolls in durrance 2. As I tele on packs of mobs block could help im thinking. I am about to respec and max out vitality and the thought of dex/blocking crossed my mind.

I feel confident this has been addressed before but im not seeing a search bar for strategy section.

i wouldn't. it would take a lot of dex to max block with a spirit. it doesn't have any increase chance to block on it.

go for a high enough fcr breakpoint to tele through these packs before they get a chance to attack (or to die)

also I not sure if you can block the explosion dmg at all. Nero corpse explosion can't be blocked, and these effects might have similar mechanics...

EDIT: bone fetish explosion can be blocked. nevertheless, reaching max block with spirit seems like a waste of state points

terrible idea. it's wasteful af to have mb on any non-pala pvm char in softcore

if you struggle with survivability, losing out on 200 vit points isn't the way to go

and stop wasting time farming meph lol

that is the way I have always played not doing any dex so I will roll that way. thanks for the replies.


I farm pindle, sancuary, mephy, ancient tunnels, andy, countess, cows, and pit in each game I mf. drops are ok.

If you do decide to run Max Block I’d go storm shield socketed with an eld. Just aim for 99 FCR BP
