Thunder mauls don't ww very fast. botd is reliant on ar to land attacks. you don't have much life leech or ar with the gear you suggested. you also only have 8% physical damage reduction. that is something you will need with a barb that only has 2000ish life.
you could use war cry and battle cry to help with survivability and have a viable build. thunder maul barbs are better at single targets though. i think lvling will be faster with a fast ttk more so than with massive single target damage.
Seems like you don’t know what you are talking about. 2H BoTD works well at PvM WW Barb. Also War Pike is an opinion. ITD doesn’t work against uniques or bosses, so you need AR anyway. BoTD have LL% and ML% so you don’t need other sources, like Griefs does. And so on.
e: Anyway i don’t get why would you kill all trash mobs, when only Bosses and Uniques gives you most exp, point of 105Fcr switchl is howl all trash mobs away and kill only monsters which matters.
