any thoughts?

Too many people use that setup. I suppose it's because they want to build to tap and nt. But if you just build for nt and tournaments, cham stormshield, 80/30 vis (I assume you are using edc), eprud, gelics, gores, rends, verds is going to beat pretty much everything else.

Why? We aren't banning old torch we're just suggesting that it would be nice for everyone to get new ones if it's in their budget. No action gets taken if they don't and it would still reduce game crashes if a few did get new ones.

And another consideration to note, if 25% chance to cast firestorm is deemed gm, why stop there?  we could push it to 40% and allow Pheonix shields, opening up more possibilities

As for torches I recomend any that have the ability to get the new 5% cast get it. Im personaly iso a 20 stat pally.

we debated this for PN tournys last year and were looking at setting a time frame for everyone to switch over but never followed threw on it.

The concerns were people being able to afford them etc etc. I think all agreed it was a good idea to goto with 5% but were not sure how to switch over without being a strain on people with a budget.

besides being evil to druids it makes games to drop in ffa's etc etc so my recomendation would be everyone who can get them get them and look at posibly setting a reasonable time frame for people to switch over to new torches. and finding a way to make some avalible to those that cant afford them.
