I got my new laptop in the mail today . Lenovo y560, went with the i5 version with the 5730 graphics card and got it for only $730.

Yes i'm very happy with it. There's no other laptop that can compare to it at this price point either . But I was only able to get it because I get a corporate rate with lenovo from work. But you might not want it since 5730 only plays sc2 on high not ultra . At least that's what the benchmarks say, I haven't tried it myself. I'm currently downloading oblivion

i need a new gaming rig .. in the 3k range ..

thats completely aside from a laptop ..

idc about gaming performance on laptop ..

just need enough video power for videos and games on lower res and gfx ..

Yeah that's what I was looking for. And the 5730 plays majority of games out now on med+ settings so that's more than enough for me. But you can get by with a 5650 graphics if you just want low end games.
