I have this build and Ive found using shadow faith works best.

For casters i use um'd wiz for that 99 fcr bp, but for things like smiters and such, ive found swapping on javs with 48 fcr works really well. poison and ow still hurt, and the javs keep u attack with block.

The only chars I find it necessary to play defensive against are some paladins, some necros, and most GOOD telly wwsins. On the exterior it looks like a hit-and-run kind of char, and to be honest that's how it is when you first start dueling with the character, but when you become more comfortable with the build you let valk take out a lot of the name lock hits and elemental chars.

I Play this character much more like a phys zon than a poison one-that is I hit whenever the chance reveals itself. I rely heavily on the phys portion of my damage---that is why I try to max ga and get 70+% critical. Others will prefer to max the d/a/e skill tree and rely more heavily on the psn dmg. I think it's foolish to rely too much on one type of damage, especially if that damage is able to be negated.

I also utilize open wounds [25-75%ow w/ different set-ups] with the build to compensate for the lower phys damage which is actually closer to 1-2.5k [2-5k after crit]. Even with that I may also use a lacerator for possible 4-10k phys damage range.

When I say I use this zon more like a phys damage zon, I also mean that I have become more comfortable using a 70% fcr 200% frw set up. This gives me decent telly bps and insane desynch, [If anyone knows what telly-walking is, then you know how insane the ability can be]

The poison damage my arrows deal is not slow. It is roughly 6-7k psn damage over 6 second intervals [compared to plague's 70k+/- dmg over 19 seconds]. Plague appears to work faster because the average damage per second is 3684, when my arrows will do 1166 psn damage per second. It's 10x the damage, but delivered over 3x's the seconds. So in reality I do 21k+ poison damage in the same time it takes plague to run its course.

Here's a breakdown of each arrow: 25-75% ow [8 second timer], 7k psn/6 seconds, 1-2.5k phys dmg, 70% crit.
--- On the low side I will do 1k phys, 7k poison/6 seconds - pvp penalties
--- On the high side I will do 5k phys, 7kpsn/6seconds - pvp penalties & 300+ life done from open wounds/8 seconds.

The average arrow fired will generally do 400-600 damage given the time for it's duration to subside [8 seconds assuming ow has casted]
So 8x arrows will do, on average given their durations, 3.4k-4.8k life after pvp penalties.
