On another note, I've used gloves like these before on a DPS Trav Goldfind barb. They're alright, but I often just prefer using Laying of Hands for the 350% damage vs. Council (also has IAS).

sorry if this has been answered, but why does ismail sometimes randomly heal when he's physical immune and you amp him?

Council Members all can self-heal afaik
They used to self-heal a ton more often in an oooold patch, but they reduced the rate.

Now imagine if he wasn't Amped, how much more likely he'd be to self-heal on a long kill speed

On the kill speed without amp: I play offline, and I was DPSing Trav on players3, as dual Grief frenzy barb, reliant on Life Tap from Drac's especially to keep merc without LL alive (he has GA, Kira's, infi). I would watch TV at the same time and so it was just chill, I rarely used any potions at all. I think I just kinda thought, "well they self-heal but that just means they heal us more, so NBD." But then I started trying out the Gavel Demon out of boredom and the HR results are waaaay faster. Thanks for your guide!
