It either GIVES YOU MANA

Or 15% damage takes out mana instead of life.

15% dtm means that 15% of the physical damage you take is added to your mana pool. If you take 1000 damage, 150 mana is added to your pool. No damage is reduced at all. Also for this reason (% of the damage you actually take) it is 100% useless for ES sorcs.

DtM is used in VLLD, that's it.

Ah okay, i was wrong. It could have meant 1 of two things.

stuff you MUST have before getting extra crap.

50% DR (Must be 50% or higher, though only 50% works)
60% from any sources but your aura. (If using a zerker, hit cap)
Cannot be Frozen

AFTER that you can get other stuff.

Go with one of the jewels i listed.

ED / max jewels are horrible.

Just go for a Rare with 30% ED, 60 AR,9 str, 9 dex (or close)
