the colored part works well
but the verb "amplify" has a subject in your sentence
its subject is "amp"
why would it be?
it's not amp that multiplies anything by anything. amp is just this +1 here: 1.5 = 1 +1 -0.5
here's what you wanna say: against a char with amp and 50%dr, monster attack dmg is multiplied by 1.5

It's 1.5x on screen damage but with 50%Dr you'd take 3 times the damage you would have after factoring in the 50% DR OR you'd take 1.5x damage of the original number if you take the 1000 instead of the 500 you'd ACTUALLY FUCKING DO so it's 3 times. Jesus christ everybody.
