To start off, you've probably never dueled a good Summoner. I've duel many BVC's and I do win most of the time. Your statement about life tap is worthless....Not many people use life tap because it is considered bad manners. Even if they did, Iron maiden still takes effect. The scariest part of a BVC is jump. Jumping will move summons away from the necro for a split second. That is why I recommend high FHR.
Apparently you're damn stupid. Every half-decent BvC has a LT wand. And I know from actual experience that LT totally negates Iron Maiden. It's because the returned life from LT does not go through any penalties and you're hitting minions, meaning each Grief hit gives you back 3 000 life. There's just no way to die at that point.
But since you're so stuck up, let me prove it to you in the way the game does it. That is, numbers.
With the gear you listed and 1 point in Iron Maiden, you would have level 17 Iron Maiden. Meaning it returns 600% damage. Now, due to the penalty on the skill in PvP, that is cut down to 60%. Due to the barb having a Crown of Ages and Enigma, that is effectively multiplied by 0.61, turning the effective returned damage down to 36.6%. Meaning that for every hit made, the barbarian receives back 36.6% of the damage he deals. Now, due to Life Tap and Dracul's, he heals 52.5%, making your effective damage 36.6%-52.5%=-15.9%, meaning the barbarian will always heal 15.9% of the damage he deals. Do notice that since the multipliers for received damage and life are in percentages, the actual weapons or build of the barbarian means nothing as it does not change the percentages one bit.
Simple enough for you?
