ImO just like DMG vs. ES, after PvP penalty has been applied the first thing that is related and calculated in combination with the absolute FB DMG hitting you, is CA.

Also, CA has nothing to do with "absolute absorb"... it's just a minor error in the skill descrription... if we were talking about absorb, being hit by FB while CA is on, would at some point in the calculation heal your char.

A trusted German site also states, that CA absorbs from / reduces the incoming DMG (after PvP penalty) BEFORE resists kick in and reduce the remeining DMG even further.


but the weird part is i cant hurt any ele druid with my 21k fb unless his CA is down.. and it takes usually 2 fbs

Which might be weird for you ofc, but still doesn't change game mechanics...

Didn't find anything useful on other sites regarding that, so FIRST Cyclone Armor THEN Resists seems to be true.

ISO confirmation for this.

In German forums people are talkiing about playing HC druids with almost no resists because CA is enough, and in the skill description (same site) the order is stated as well... ISO a link.

Pretty sure that resists are calculated after CA. Actually, I'm positive.

Look at the Battle.net forums. They have all the info.

maybe the druids your dueling have more + elemental skills, or + all skills mods which would give them a larger CA but miss the FCR bp?

I think that there are many people concurring on this that...

well wouldn't someone with programming knowledge have found a mistake by now if there had been one? It should be pretty easy for a programmer to see it quick if there had been a mistake.
