Guide to the GM PVP Smiter v1.11Skills:20 Smite
20 Charge (Some say to Max defiance instead of this. But more defense will only help when vs. ww barbs. Charge is extremely useful when dueling almost any character.)
20 Holy Shield
20 Fanaticism
1 Defiance (Synergy for holy shield, it adds defense)
2 or 4 Resist Lightning (each 2 hard points into a resist skill will increase you maximum resist to that element by 1 point. Plus skill items don?t affect your max resist.)
2 Resist Fire
2 Resist Cold
Place Extra Skills into either a Resist skill or Defiance.
Stat Points:Strength: Nothing
Dexterity: Just enough to use a Grief Phase Blade while having all gear on.
Vitality: Rest of stats go here
Energy: Nothing
Gear: The
1st Item is my suggested choice for the best build.
The other items are to be used only in certain situations.
Be sure to keep some of them in your stash.
Weapon Choices: 1st Grief Phase Blade- With this you reach 6fps smite.
2nd
Grief Berserker Axe- You will need no less than 40ias and then 20 more ias from another item to reach 6fps smite.
- Requires less dex than a Phase Blade.
3rd
Eth Death Cleaver Berzerker Axe zod?d- It is used for Charging.
- You reach about 10k charge attack rating with this and 2x Raven frost rings.
- switch to using highlords when using this so you will have very high chance of deadly strike.
- You will need 20 more ias to reach 6fps smite if you wish to smite people with it.
Shield Choices:1st Herald of Zakarum Zakarum(up?d) Shield Ber?d- Use this for Almost all duels.
- Gives 20str, 20vit, Max block (with 136dex which you need to use a Grief Phase Blade) 50resAll, 8dr.
2nd
Eth Exile Zakarum Shield with Resist- Greater average damage than a Vortex Shield.
- Adds loads of defense (useful vs. barbs). But you need more dex to reach Max block(75%).
3rd
Eth Exile Vortex Shield with Resist- Greater Maximum damage than a Zakarum Shield.
- Adds loads of defense. (useful vs. barbs)
Helm Choices:1st Harlequin Crest Shako Ber?d- Use this vs. Melee characters.
2nd
Harlequin Crest Shako Um?d- Use this vs. casters.
3rd C
rown of Ages Corona 2sockets- You will need to add a few points into strength to use this.
- If you ber/ber it You will have over 50%dr which is not needed. So I recommend using only 1 Ber.
- You get more of fhr/resists.
4th
Crown of Ages Corona 1socket Ber?d- You will need to add a few points into strength to use this.
- You get more of fhr/resists.
Armor Choices: 1st Enigma Mage Plate-Use the Skill Teleport to your advantage!
This takes a little bit of practice and skill, but once you master teleporting onto your enemy and smiting them, you will see why it?s the best.
It makes your opponent panic and you will almost always get the first hit.
2nd
Fortitude Dusk Shroud- Adds to your smite damage.

- Does not have teleport.
- Does not have Damage Reduced.
- You will need to add more points into strength to use your gear.
3rd
Chains of Honor Dusk Shroud- Use this only vs. casters
- Adds 65 resist all
Boot Choices: 1st Waterwalks Sharkskin Boots- Adds 50-65 Life.
- Adds 15 Dex.
2nd
Gore Rider War Boots- Adds 15% chance of Crushing blow.
3rd
Duped Boots of Some kind- You Shouldn't use duped items! Perming every game is a pain in the butt.
- They usually add a lot of resist and a lot of str/dex.
Glove Choices: 1st Dracul?s Grast Vampirebone Gloves- Has 5% chance to cast Life Tap. Which can be critical in some duels.
- Adds 10-15 Strength.
2nd
Bloodfist Heavy Gloves- Adds 10ias (helps when using a Grief Berserker Axe that is not 40ias)
- Adds 40 Life.
- Adds 30 fhr.
- Does not have Strength or Life tap.
Belt: 1st Verdungo?s Hearty Cord Mithril Coil- Has 10-15%dr. Try to get 15%.
- Adds 30-40 Vitality.
Rings: 1st Raven Frost + Bul-Kathos?- Cannot Be Frozen.
- Adds Dex so you can use a Grief Phase Blade more easily.
- Adds ~40 Life and 1 to all skills.
Amulet Choices: 1st Mara's- 2all skills along with resistance, and it adds to Battle Orders.
2nd
Highlords Wraith- Adds 20ias so that you can reach 6fps smite with a Grief Berserker Axe.
Switch: Call To Arms Flail/Crystal Sword- Try to get +6 Battle Orders
Spirit Paladin Shield- Adds +2 skills so you will have higher Battle Orders.
Charms: 34x +20 Life Small Charms (try to get ones with resist)
3x 5fhr/resist Small Charms
Annihilus Small Charm
Paladin Torch
With This Build (near perfect/high items) you will have:~ 4,500 Life
~ 49% Damage Reduced
~ 2,400-8,000 Calculated Smite Damage (w/o 1/6th pvp physical damage reduction)
- 6 Frames Per Second Smite Speed
- 6 Frames Per Second Hit Recovery
~ Max Fire/Light/Cold Resist (if you have 20life/res sc?s)
