I tried Steel Shade and liked it alot actually.

Summon necro act 2 merc
Recommended type: Nightmare Offensive (Might)

Helm: Eth Andy's
Armor: Eth bug sacred armor coh
Weapon: eth CA infinity

Decent damage, nasty crushing blow for bosses, but has high resists (for ubering) and +skills, which gives increased might so your skeles and revives do more damage.

Will be even better in the new patch with iron maiden removed from chaos sanc.

The slow merc:

A2 Holy freeze merc

Weapon: Eth upped Kelpie Snare ber'd

75% slow combined with holy freeze will have everything crawling and it works wonders on bosses as they will be so slow that they can barely attack.

Armor: Treachery

This merc isn't a huge dmg dealer so a defensive armor with some ias fits the bill.

Helm:Gulli face

CB, DS, FHR, ect.

This gives you holy freeze (50% slow) and 75% slow from Kelpie. Multiple slow sources stack so you can stack these percentages and you can even take it a step further on a nec using decrep + clay golem.

This is an ultimate survival merc and is great for HC.
