Dumb question:

What if you would use 2 set items: then get the +18 fireball, don't skill fireball, but max firebolt + fm. You obviously miss the synergie from meteor, so your damage will be lacking, but you would save massive skillpoints.

Then you can get orb + cm as well and be dual element. Probably sucky as hell, but at least it would work in pvm.

Too bad the +fireball bonus from Trang's is capped at +3 for a Sorceress though.

Also when you don't skill it? Not sure there.

It's tested against the class itself not the skill. I'm not even sure this was ever possible, unlike the synergy from charges (marrow walk, stone etc), which did work.
