here's a good question : why would a char teleport near you when they know that's the only slim chance you have to win ?
here's another question : why would someone that died by teleporting near you do it again?

Every shapeshifter strategy relies on the enemy underestimating you or getting bored and making a mistake... what do you do against the people that don't make mistakes?

for the first question and the second: many things play into factor - would they run out of mana? do they need to tele somewhat close to you to do damage? and other..

for this build, the wolf can take a lot of hits, and if you are smart and experienced enough, you'd know when to bite the bullet and go forward for the kill.

I'm able to dodge Fireballs, Hammers, Tornados and the such for ages. Either they'll run out of mana, or they'll want to get closer for a better chance to hit me. And its the same for them. They can stay out of range and never get hit by me. With this the case, if all both people do is try to dodge other attacks, the duel will go on forever. Someone is bound to get impatient and make a mistake.

This is true and 99/100 it's the other person that gets bored and telestomps me and often dies as a result.

i'm pretty sure a high fcr fire sorc will hit you more than you want if she knows how to aim and "trap" you between fbs and ifbs.
The guide suggests the use of an etomb for dueling hammers: the hammer can just desynch/tele around traping you with hammers and charge/smite you with grief from desynch when you least expect it.
Tornadoes are easy to dodge so won't go into that.
A blizzard sorc can pretty much namelock blizz you or cast ahead of you and you'll die eventualy.

etc etc etc

Again you are absolutely right shadow_lad.

Dueling with a shape druid is a unique experience and something that you need to do for yourself, it's hard to write strategies for any class really.

I don't expect to win every duel I enter with my druid, I just duel to have fun and show Bnet a unique character.

If I wanted a high win percentage I'd use my BvC or hammerdin smile.gif

Good guide.

I'd probably have to try out a crappy fury druid and see how it works out (editor perhaps?).

I can't wait to try killing a caster if I ever make a fury/rabies druid. The idea of someone that runs fast enough to catch a sorceress seems a little bizzare. =]
