I have been on working on a melee battle simulator for a while. Adding an easy domain to forward to my spreadsheet. I'll make an actual website eventually, but for now it's useful for comparing builds:

d2melee.com

Only Fury/Zeal/Conc on there for now. Also a weapon damage tab for elite weapons with a Fury breakpoint calc.

In the meantime, I made this so people can check out weapons in 2.4: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1dJNjAE4PI6-Fzaguv9R7ErXNI572LLA9znDPSYRoqsU/edit#gid=1417766750

With a botdZ, and lvl 38 werewolf skills, I will still need 105% ias from gear to hit 6.3 attacks per second.. which is pretty much impossible. 15 ias from helm socket, 20% from highlords, 15% from stormshield socket, 20% from gloves..

Can anyone explain the attack frames in terms of how they're written? like 5/4/4/4/7, what dos this mean?

The game runs at 25 frames per second (animation frames).

So 5/4/4/4/7 means the first attack takes 5 frames, then three 4 frame furies, then one longer 7 frame swing. If you add that up it's 24 frames total. So it takes just under a second for each full 5 attack Fury to complete.

Nice info, thanks.

I have another question for you guys..

So right now my pvp wolf is hitting 4 frames with EDC and fortitude armor. Total IAS is 110% (I need 99% for 4 frames).

I had the crazy thought to replace my fortitude armor with a 4x 40/15 ias armor with +100 life, because that would take me to 3 frames.

Odd thing is, based on this calculator:

https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1dJNjAE4PI6-Fzaguv9R7ErXNI572LLA9znDPSYRoqsU/edit#gid=1417766750

It seems like the DPS difference is barely noticeable.

Is 3 frames just not much of a DPS increase, or is it because I'm giving up 150% ED going from fortitude to the 4x 40/15 armor?

Edit:

Seems like if %ED is kept the same, the move from 4 frames -> 3 frames gives me 15% increased DPS. If I account for % ED loss when going from fortitude -> 4x 40/15 armor, 4 frames -> 3 frames gives me 3.5% increased dps. So it seems like the 4x 40/15 armor isn't really worth the price..

Yeah jewelers can be usable for something like a legendary mallet, otherwise fort is just too good.

Does FHR matter for fury druids? I was dueling a zealer today and he told me it wasn't needed.

I'm sitting at 52% right now and was trying to reach 86% via charms.. but if it doesn't matter I can replace those charms with +life.

How much needed though? 3 or 4 frame?
