Hey do you know if the 150% cap they added after reverting to the original PTR ias allows 4 frame?
I kinda took a break from d2.
According to previous believes of formulas they think they may be wrong... And they have done a lot of testing and stuff.
I dont have a fast enough pc or alblility to read the codes or any frame by frame recording methods so i kinda just waited to see if those guys figured it out.
But there seems to be missmatches nomather how hard they try, so either theyr recorded tests was wrong or their math is wrong. The discussion they had kinda stopped.
https://github.com/ChthonVII/d2r_24ptr2_wereform_calculator/issues/1I dno if they take into consideration that d2 has a 24frames breakpoint system, on a 25frames game engine, which is then scaled up to 60 in d2r. And i believe the animations in d2r is not 100% the same as the actual hit.
I was not able to browse the test results he had. I dont think blizzard did to much super wierd stuff. I think either the formula first found is correct, or it uses another animation speed.
The rollback is 70% on fury compared to the old 100%.
I believe the best test would be 2 single player chars, 1 with massive life and Enought dr to only loose 1 to 5 life each hit, but crap defense and low lvl. And 1 with custom gear and 1%, 5%, 10%, 50%, 100% ias scs + inzane ar. Then only record hits via 1 fire dmg or smt and only count hits. Look away from the swing animation. But i dno if its possible to make such test happen in d2r.
Else you would have to take a super low dmg wep and make urself imortal and just hit monsters. I think maby -% ed is possible, at least wirl got that stat.
