Lets assume the amulet is: 2 sin, 20 fcr, 60 life, 20 res all
Jewels in coa: -15% req, 9 str, 9 dex, 10 all res (or some other mods if str/dex are not needed. perhaps 30 of a specific res instead of 10 all)
9 str, 9 dex, 10 all res, 7 fhr

This setup provides 86 fhr with just dancers + coa. Provides more DR than his current circlet (more synergy points). Assuming he uses five 20/5 charms, this adds 180 AR or 100ar/15max dmg (depending on preference on 20/36 vs 3/2020). You gain a level of BO which offsets the life from the circlet.

So, you lose 1 sin skill. Gain 2 fhr breakpoints. Save 7 skill points. Life breaks about even (coa adds +1 bo). You probably lose a small amount of AR.

Who is running around at 27 fhr? o_O If his guide advocates that then whatever, I haven't read it for awhile. 48 seems like the minimum to me

Well if he normally uses 48 fhr, then he must gain it from charms. In which case you gain life using coa (due to life gained from new charms).

Okay let's assume the circlet has either FRW or visionary and 2 sockets with life and res.
Ber Ber circlet gives 49 DR. You can switch to Jah Jah if you like too.
Dancers + CoA is 60 FHR. 67 with your jewel. Where did you get 86? Besides, 86 is WAY overkill on a hybrid. 48 is the max and the min I'd go.
1 skill point does not break the life gain from a circlet.

With circlet/highlords you gain FRW or visionary and DS. You're forgetting those mods which are very useful to an assassin.

Opps, you're right i was adding 20 fhr out of nowhere. Oh well, then it has 48 fhr.

I was saying that a COA setup could be better than bui's nl setup with the right amulet. You can come up with whatever magical circlet you want, but that isn't want I'm arguing. I'm simplying saying that a coa and a single amulet would improve bui's nl sin if he were to remake it with everything else being the same. Bui says coa is gay and that he would never use a FCR amulet, so I figured I'd throw out my suggestion.

And wasn't he just saying that he wouldn't go CoA?

Yes... and I'm saying that a CoA could make his sin better if he has the right FCR amulet

(in other words, I'm saying it is foolish to dismiss CoA and fcr amulets)
