Not true. Liberators are the best 1v1 or pub char ever. Simply put. Ghost/Kickers are FUN yes, but the kick is really weak and just opens up to be out tanked. Tri ww's I have found are more effective vs the best pkers. For pubs, I use Kick alot, but vs my friends, kick is a joke.

Then you don't know how to effectivly use the kick. You keep saying it is weak yet it does almost the exact same dmg as a hit of ww. This build will own a V/T also. Claw block + minion stack makes the foh all but useless and the smite would be ezpie with knockback fools claw.

Whirlwind hits just as much as kicks. The only advantage kicks have is that its impossible to 'overshoot', beside that the 'miss-bug' makes them horrible imo.

True, but as he stated, kicks are only to be used in certain situations. Versus casters like windies, sorcs, necs, ect. Kicks are very effective especially when they are stunned in 5 wof's.

What makes em more effective than a good aimed whirlwind?

Because it sets off all those ctc on striking spells keeping them stunned while you are in kick animation so that after it is over you can re-mb + trap and keep them locked there till they die.

Just to clear things up, a Liberator is not the same as a V/T. Liberator is Hammer/Charge/Smite. V/T is Smite/FOH. Big difference. Liberators (or just grief using hammerdins) are now the most popular char in USWest NonLadder.

I would say that a hammerdin with low fcr wouldn't be that great, but you have wiz gloves you lucky bastard.

But that is pretty irrelevant when you have em locked with 5 WoF's already. I made a false statement previously though; whirlwind hits twice as much as kicks... 2 claws hehe. Dont forget that with a proper whirlwind, the opponent will be in an almost constant hit/block lock.

Like you said though, with a kick you don't gotta worry about overshooting your target. You are constantly hitting, which is something you need while they are in stun lock to keep them stun locked. Once that swirly wears off, you can then walk out of the traps. If you are constantly hitting, it makes that a bit harder. It is just easier because you can just stand there and laugh while they can't do anything but sit there in your traps and die. I guess its a matter of preferance really. I am thinkin about experimenting with dragon claw on a new build..
