specifically, it has to do with the extremely silly way that blizzard programmed whirlwind to make it work for dual wielding and single wielding both

you completely ignored the point he was trying to make. for example, say you're using a plain white legendary mallet. you have a 3 socket helm with ias jewels, 4 soc shield with ias jewels, nos coil, 20 ias gloves, highlords/cats eye, all the ias gear you can get. your ww is not going to hit any faster for all that ias, because none of it is on the weapon.

if you had used google yourself, you would have been able to find, with relative ease, something called a weapon speed calculator. all you have to type in the search bar is 'diablo 2 weapon speed calculator' and go to the one that starts with diablo3.*** and you can see all that for yourself.

so even if you could edit to make yourself able to ww while shapeshifted into wolf form, it wouldnt work?

yeah i use that calc all the time to chrck my bps and stuff...

hrmm well you'd have to rewrite whirlwind to accomplish that and then you could do whatever you wanted with it
if you forced it, the game would just crash

there isnt a offhand weapon for a maul...

theres nothing in editting or modding, thats stuff for kids to fool around with to get an intro to programming, I always appreciated it for how many people it pulls, but its not serious
