If a target is inside your weapon range, say range 3 for zerker, you won't do a charge, but rather a normal attack (and probably die because of it). Lower weapon range allows for charges at closer range. You'll also have better chain charges for the same reason.

Well I thought charge would bring you to stop at the range of the weapon meaning if the target is knocked at all some distance they will no longer be in range making range irrelevant.

I'm guessing if pb does make more hits then charge brings you to range 4 always (so pb can hit again without them moving) or what??

It does. However say you're standing somewhat close to someone. With a range 5 weapon, chances are they'll be inside your weapon range, and so you can't charge, but with a lower range weapon you could.

Ok so pb hits more if you somehow end up closer than you should with grief ba.. hmm.. this is caused by lag or what ? ^^

It's caused by charge mechanics, if you're WITHIN weapon rage you won't charge. Stand right next to a monster and try and charge it, you'll see what I'm talking about.

How about just simply charge south and then back up?

aka vigor-run south / charge again

Yes I understodd that what I'm wondering is why BA failed to bring you to the correct range.

Because it has one more range then the pb, making the area of which you can not initiate a charge slightly larger.

I guess that's what you would do ^^, I'm guessing (don't play pallys) that this would only be an issue if you misclicked, did a useless normal attack, and got hurt because of it.
