Possibly an act 2 nm defensive pride mercenary. If you can manage to cast lifetap so that he can life steal too. But they're not necessary

Yea, I've never been a fan of starting the ladder with a smiter, so.. Basically when I get to make one, I can afford those

Well, maybe beginners are not the usual torch farming types either.. we are talking about probably the hardest kills in the game here. Baal is incredibly easy--ubers are a different story..

I would just give the act2 merc eth andy/ eth gaze... probably eth glitch fort--Pride damage is sort of low--but it makes the most sense (of course for the dual damage auras)

But you said you're killing ubers in under 1 minute/ maybe there's no point trying to have a merc.

I haven't experimentated with any merc, as caring about it could only make it longer.. An insight merc that could survive could be interesting also -- as baal's mana drain can be annoying.

I've got a 275% Eth CV Insight I could try some time. I just have my doubts that any merc will stay alive without constant life tap.
