well, its a sorc for party plays only. the hammers kill the cold immunes usually^^. otherwise i would have to use my act 2 merc, but i hate them, they die so often.
btw, i have infinity, does it weaken the cold immunes that much that i can kill them?

Not really, the lvl 12 conviction is not strong enough to eliminate most cold immunities. You'd be better off putting that infinity on a Light sorc.

i think i go for physical dmg:
act 1 merc: faith + 160-60 + 120-45
is nice ias and appropriate dmg
equipping an act 2 merc for phys dmg in chaos, doesnt make sense in my opnion

hey i just want to ask what the item list would be for a wf build vs the brand build. im interested in making the non cookie cutter brand build but it looks expensive with the ed////ias stuff. so im asking, with a faith merc 15 aura what do i need with wf vs brand build for chasing?

You're right, I had an A2 merc a while ago, and he got im'ed and died all the time.

It does not need to be, as critical strike hits diminishing returns rather fast. You can if you would like, but I don't recommend sinking 20 points into a skill like that.

Edit: The guide really has no general skill layout, just a description of the skills that you should focus on and a loose recommendation of which.

If you want to try the Brand build and you can't afford the jewels, you can get a Mavina's helm with a 15% IAS jewel (I believe an Andy's visage works as well, you would have to calculate this on an IAS calculator), a fortitude, and a Brand diamond bow. The reason for this is that you don't need the massive amounts of IAS gear and a perfect faith on that mercenary. The downside is that you damage suffers a bit and you lost some plus skills, but you do gain resistances, defense, and other defensive mods should you choose the diamond bow route. The damage is more consistent, and the damage isn't as big of an issue so long as you have the knockback. What's nice about Brand is that it casts amplify damage when you get hit (not always reliable, but hey, it's a plus.) Windforce would arguably be a better build to use as opposed to Brand because Windforce deals more damage to everything whereas Brand capitalizes on demon smashing (which happens to be act bosses, travincal, etc). If you want to be different, go with the Brand diamond bow route.

Faith merc (ice arrow), faith hydra bow/ diamond bow/ shadow bow (really depends), andy's visage with 15% IAS fire resist jewel, fortitude.

My setup is in the guide for a Brand bow route, if you have any other questions, feel free to PM me. Try to do some of the work for an alternate Brand zon on your own, as spoonfeeding gets old and it's always rewarding to come up with something different and potentially good.
