2/1h = .3 (3)
means
2 hard points into mindblast, 1 hard (h) point into shadow master, .3 mindblasts per minute for a 3 minute test.
Code
2/1h = .3 (3) .3 (3) .3 (3)
15/1h = 4.5 (10)
15/2h = 4.3 (3) 4.3 (3) 3 (3)
20/1h = 10.6 (10) 7.4 (10) 8.3 (3) 11 (3) 11.6 (3)
20/2h = 15.2 (10) 9.2 (10) 9 (3) 8.3 (3) 9 (3)
20/2s = 17 (10) 9 (3) 10.3 (3) 10.6 (3)
20/3h = 10 (5) 14.6 (5) 10.6 (3)
20/5h = 12 (5) 4.5 (5)
20/5h + 2s = 4.6 (5)
20/20h = 5.1 (10) 6.6 (3) 7.3 (3) 6 (3)
20/2 with 19 traps = 8.3 (3) 11.3 (3) 11.3 (3)
what i gather from all this:
--sm tends to mindblast in groups....a lot of the times i got many mindblasts per minute, it would do 3-5 mindblasts in a row, and then do nothing for 10+ seconds.
--hard points in mindblast make a BIG difference, if you're going to pump mindblast, get 20 mindblast for sure.
--additional points into sm make no difference...or possibly even lower the chance to cast mindblast
--hard and soft points don't seem to make a substantial difference in chance to cast mindblast
--lowering other skills doesn't seem to make much of a difference (it's also worth noting that sm dflights like a muthafucka even though i don't have a single point in the entire MA tree, so the hard points thing seems to mostly only apply to mindblast for some reason)
--a low amount of mindblast means shadow casts mindblast VERY rarely.
--the random gear means that sometimes your shadow won't use mindblast often, and sometimes it will use it a lot (or at least that's my explanation)
--there's a big difference between maxing mindblast and not maxing it
alright, I'm done with this crap! hopefully this will help other people looking at mindblast frequency on sm.
