I still have a strong feeling that your experience is caused by Mind Blast. Remember it actually stuns minions for the full duration, and it will hit every single monster in one cast

also as for them being meat shields, thats also part of the reason why cloak is good vs them, easy namelock instead of having to be careful to click through them.
actually you can cloak a viving nec, namelock some large sized minion corner screen, preposition mouse for chainlock dclaw, tele with him when he teles, then dclaw through all the summons right away. aim cursor at feet when you tele. chop chop. right through all the vives.

You can't WSM bug with a MH slow claw anyways.
Suwayyah Chaos 3LS/3Venom + Runic Fury 3LS/3Venom or Runic Fools.

You can WSM bug with warfist + runics to get 9 frame trap laying speed (i've tested). If you mean that it isn't wise to because of the AR issue, that is an incorrect rumor.
