If flickering flame runeword works on him he will be immortal at travincal even vs conviction but will loose ias bp and ll if swapping andy face...

It's what, 13% max fire resist?

Can already kind of get that with a Guardian Angel + Um Rune combo. It's kind of okay.
At least now we can keep the chest piece slot for DPS, with Fort or CoH

I am mostly really curious now about Grim Ward honestly.
+5% damage taken for SYNERGY on Find Potion is a lot. Wonder what the base increase is. It might even be enough to not use Gavel, and then A5 Merc using Battle Cry can replace Demon Limb/Amp Damage :O

Dont forget lvl 8 fire resist aura if it works thats 108% fr...

Yea armor should be clear.

If A5 will make enough dmg yea could be an option :O

Yeah; if the base damage is 50% extra damage taken, and we can push that to 150% somehow, then maybe Gavel won't be that useful anymore?
Or maybe we can even stack Gavel with Grim Ward to multiply the damage even more. It's kinda crazy.

But doesn't grim ward require a corpse, as well as scatter the council? Seems potentially ackward to use. Perhaps Gavel amp can override the fear effect.

The way "increased damage taken" is worded is also interesting. Does it work like adding off weapon ed%, or is it like amp/decrep, reducing enemy phys resistance? if the latter, it would be OP for killing bosses...

Lastly, depending on the base dmg increase %, you can potentially stack +wc skills super high and greatly amp dmg (no pun intended). My guess is that they will tune this parameter depending on how much it's abused in PTR.

That's the thing; I'm trying to figure out whether or not we'd be better off with a quick Grim Ward stick swap than Amp Gavel. If it's possible to override the "fear" effect with Battle Cry, then we even get to reduce their defense to 0 with Lvl 26 Battle Cry, so Stone Skin literally doesn't matter for hitting purposes.

For all we know it's an extra modifier on top of Amp Damage, maybe even multiplicative (???)

hm maybe Lacerator with the new mastery could be used for the amp needs? Then you could use limb / lacc and wouldn't need to switch limb in and out
