This guide is more about the build of the character and not how to actually duel. Having a one page article on how to duel each specific character class in every possible scenario is ridiculous, it's simple an general out line on how to handle a few of the main character classes. I can't be there to hold your hand and click the buttons for you every duel, there needs to be a few things people figure out on their own. Besides, by this point i would hope people know how to duel with a bowzon, its not like it was invented yesterday.
Yeah but your duelling strats versus blizz sorc (for example) are all over the place. The way I read it you seem to say that you gotta camp in a corner but you also say you have to move around alot. I just find it confusing.
I've duelled a good number of blizz sorcs using a Hybrid and I can't say that camping ever worked for me - especially next to walls/houses etc because you cant shoot through them but they can blizz and teleport over walls. In my opinion the golden rule for bowa vs blizz sorc is to stay the hell away from walls and obstructions that can block arrows. They will never teleport straight towards you (which is pretty dumb) so they mostly try to circle around you whilst closing in most of the time. They can lose your GAs really easily unless they mess up and teleport on top of your arrows or something.
Blizzers with 105/200 fcr are really hard to lead with guided arrow because they move so damn fast. I use multishot a fair bit in this duel - more so if I'm not used to the lag so I can catch them with the spread. This is a duel where you really feel the effects of having crappy ping and its hard to play on twitch reactions when you have like 250ms of lag.
I can see some differences between Hybrids and Vitas though in the sense that ice blast can pretty much kill me in 1 or 2 hits whereas Vita can survive longer against ice blast BS. Good blizz sorcs will try to 'herd' you into walking diagonally north or into a blizzard patch by spraying a few ice blasts which forces you to take evasive action. You can probably deal with that better than I can since I don't really have a choice - I can't afford to get hit by it so I have to move. You might be able to hold your ground longer than I can and keep the arrows flying because nothing scares a blizz sorc unless you got a billion arrows tracking them.
They sometimes try to namelock you if you get sloppy and let them stay close to you for too long so they teleport on top of you and cast Blizzard on top of themselves. It forces you to walk, shoot once or twice and walk again and when you have to do that you got no pressure on them at all. Against Hybrids they can take this opportunity to spam ice blast and either kill you right there or force you to walk diagonally or into annoying blood moor obstructions like puddles/trees/rocks so you can't get out from under a blizzard in time.
Vita should be better equipped to deal with that. Blizzard is probably going to kill you in one hit anyway but you should have enough life to survive at least the first and second attempt to herd you into puddles using ice blast and crap like that.
I normally expect to lose against Blizzard sorc (unless they are really bad) so I don't think theres any shame in getting smashed by a good one. Hell, they aren't as good as they think they are if you can take them 2-3 with a bowie.
