Question, I play hardcore, would going with a stormshield be a bad idea, nova/stormshield and infinity of course.

i mean you could, but then don't use my guild. use one that doesnt make you hold infinity and use a merc

nova works really well

so I did some tests with the skill calculator.

with vitabuild and hoto / lidless I would have hit the next fcr breakpoint and do 9000dmg more. Infinity could take merc.
With Infinity in hand I would do 9000dmg less than with hoto but have -50% enemy resi. Also 1 fcr breakpoint lower

What do you guys think is better?


Also with ES build wouldn't it be good to have a merc with insight?

nice guide, im on my way of making this sorc

9000 damage isn't that much when you take into consideration pvp penalties and whatnot. then you get -55 res from the infinity and -85 res from lvl 12 conviction. on top of this you get -25 from griffs. in total, -165 res.

that's a lot of damage you're gonna do when youre opponent has shitty resists. and most blizzers use a lower fcr bp and they're good. this is a similar concept. lots of -res and more defensive play.

So what is your final recommendation for main attack... lightning or nova?
I'm not good at aiming and dueling in general lol.. would nova be better for me? but it seems like you'd die more with nova since you have to get close... any hdin that get close will few hammers and kill, whirl from baba, etc, or is this not the case with such massive mana?

fhr: 86 (20 trek, 48 gcs, 4 scs)
fcr: 40 (enough??)

yup



you might wanna try using a vagi instead of the dusk of whale. other than that, your set up seems good. you could even shael it for 20 more fhr. as for the attack, lightning is my attack of choice. nova is far too weak and requires you to get too close for comfort
