hmm if using a grief, has it been proven that smite ignores targets def?

Smite
ITD's (95% chance to hit) regardless of the weapon..... However
technically, ITD does not work in pvp. THough I've heard the -25% does
:]

Anyone more certain about this? ^ ^^

here's what I do know

I don't THINK it would have any effect on smite, the ITD of course not, and as for the -defense, doesn't matter, smite doesn't calculate defense vs. ar.

As for anything that DOES calculate these two factors, the -25% from eth doesn't take the defense they see and subtract 1/4 of it, it subtracts 25% from it as in: shout bonuses, holy shield bonuses, defiance bonuses, iron skin bonuses, etc. etc. etc. So really, - target defense isn't as good as some crack it up to be.

(Shield Base + Holy Shield bonus + Grief bonus) * (1 + Smite %ED bonus + STR %ED bonus + Fanaticism %ED bonus + off-weapon %ED bonus) = Total damage

are you sure that's right? using a +400 grief, and lvl 40 smite, 174 STR, lvl 30 fanat, fort, and phoenix gives...let's see..

grief dmg = 400 * (6.00 + 1.74 + 5.43 + 3.00 + 4.00)
grief dmg = 400 * (20.17)
grief dmg = 8068

that's before adding in the shield base and holy shield bonus....i think the grief dmg is applied AFTER the multipliers?

Bonus damage from STR (each point of STR adds 1% ED) (new for 1.10)

Hi,
I only read the first page, maybe someone posted it be4, but this is not 100% correct:
It actualy depends on the Weapon-type how much ed u get each str/dex point:
1. Hammers: 1str = 1.1%ed
2. Daggers/Throwing-weapons: 1str = 0.75%ed, 1 dex = 0,75% ed
3. All other weapons: 1str = 1%ed
