It is normal. The runeword Ice doesn't deal that much damage.

I'd simply make a list with the items necessary.. which imho are few, to say the least...
when it comes to helmets:

CoT
Tals
Andies
Steelshade
maybe stealskull
gskull
gladi?
duri?
duress
and some other armors
pride(though normally very few setups where it makes sense)
ariocs
harmonyrouque..
a5 mercs: lawbringer barbarians for tornado druids because of dec trigger

not to mention that lw and botd are pretty crappy on an a5 merc anyway
same for a botd merc for a gf/wc barbarian
if we take summmoner mercs or the likes, things like the good old hone and obedience should be mentioned
I could probably go on but it is more a debateable thing if we f.e. list different mercs for every charbuild
every occasion and every part of the game
I might make a second version, when I actually get the time to do so.
Hell prayer is an error I've made while looking at the difficulty and the aura. I totally forgot the fact that you could get a prayer merc from normal.
I'm not allowed to link to the calculator on here, so I'll have to put tables even though there might be several.
The item section could be more extended I admit, but I think that it covered the main ones.
