I was looking through this guide, I noticed you say to stay away from torches due to game drops, is this still a problem? I need confirmation before I start my zon.

Also do you suggest your merc's faith in a Hydra or Diamond Bow

Oh and btw, I still play diablo 1 also

Yes, it's still a problem. Torches are nice, but they still drop games because of strafe usage.

I've heard conflicting opinions about which bow to use, I used a hydra bow however some people use Diamond bow or even Shadow bow. It depends on whether or not you put a 15% IAS jewel in your merc's helm.

Use a hydra bow if you have a 15% IAS jewel (assuming you have a level 15 fanaticism in the bow).

Use a shadow bow if you don't have a 15% IAS jewel and instead put a Ral or fire resist / ED jewel.

Diamond bows have nice average damage, other than that, there are better bows.

If you don't have a lvl 15 fanaticism in the bow, use this

sorry lad, but in my opnion WF is better than Brand GMB in chaosrun using ONLY Multishot, i didnt skill strafe.
dont know if theres any difference in killingspeed using WF strafe or Brand strafe, but in multishot WF clearly dominates Brand. I tried running alone and in parties. If i run chaos alone, Brand is worse than WF. In an 8 player run Brand just sucks.
As i said, I only use multishot. cant say anything to strafe.
So: using multi: WF > Brand Gmb (either alone or in party)
only advantage: killing diablo is much faster with Brand, but thats all.

Never once in the guide did I claim that Brand was better, only that it was different from stereotypical Windforce. In all actuality, it likely is better than Brand because

Windforce deals tons of damage to all monsters, whereas Brand's main strength is demon smashing. I find strafe effective even with 1 point, especially when I'm using

Lawbringer to proc Decrepify, which effectively doubles your physical damage. Thanks for the constructive criticism, but the guide isn't changing the bow.

my criticism was due to the fact, that i thought you wanted to describe the best bow ama cs guide (in my opinion its wf).
could you maybe have a look at my very short and ordinary guide for my diarun sorc. its in this forum, player vs. monster, and called: short blizz sorc guide for diaruns.
its a sorc for fun. i've played many sorcs, and this one is, for me, very nice to play, becasue she tanks a lot, and does adequate dmg.
if you dont find it, or dont wanna look at it, here's the equ:

How do you kill Lord de Seis? I bet you could smash the seal bosses quickly enough, and then not worry about cold immunes, but what do you do for the cold immune seal bosses (I think the Infector of Souls even spawns cold immune sometimes, not sure though).

i personally prefer maxing magic arrow over the cold arrows
