Lol very nice. I think this is one of those builds that can never be "perfected" you will always be buying nicer and nicer helms.
Still iso the answer: anyone know what level volcano should be to put someone in fhr lock?

Assuming you max out volcano, have a decent amount of +skills, etc.
Because my helm doesn't have volcano and Deathwinger said in an earlier post (I think the first page) that volcano is key for getting enemies in a fhr lock, so I'm thinking I'll just throw more elemental skillers into my inventory if I'm lacking the proper skill level.

Even level 1 volcano will proc your opponents blocking animation, which works like this:
If the volcano is blocked, they will be thrown into FBR, which interrupts anything they are doing. After the FBR is finished, they cannot be thrown into FBR for another 10 frames (0.4 seconds)

However, FHR will work like this:
If the volcano ISN'T blocked, it will put them into FHR, which will interrupt their animations, and is not capped like FBR with its timer, based upon how much damage it does after reductions:
1/16th of their HP = 37.5% chance to FHR
1/8th of their HP = 75% chance to FHR
1/4 of their HP = 100% chance to FHR

This is based on their MAXIMUM hp and occurs after all reductions, based upon how much life they lose (but before they 'heal' back from absorb)

Hence a 2600 damage volcano (1150 physical 1450 fire), against a 75% fire resist 8% dr character, will have the following cutoffs:
37.5% FHR :: 3800 MAX HP
75% FHR :: 1900 MAX HP
100% FHR :: 950 MAX HP

What is worth noting here is that even though your fire damage is higher than your physical, the damage after reductions would be 3/4 physical, 1/4 fire.

That same volcano, against 75% resist 50% dr character:
37.5% FHR :: 2500 MAX HP
75% FHR :: 1250 MAX HP
100% FHR: 625 MAX HP

What is important to note from this is that you will not be putting huge tank characters into FHR with volcano, only FBR. For example, a hammerdin with 4000 HP and 75% resist, 50% dr, will not be thrown into FHR, and his FBR will only last 2 frames thanks to holy shield. Meanwhile, a vita sorc, or an es sorc after her shield is down, or an amazon, or necro after his armor is broken, will most likely be thrown into either 37.5% or even 75% for baddies. Which is why Volcano is so incredibly deadly against casters, but rather impotent against tanks. Hence, for example, a duel against a BvC will almost never ever involved volcano whatsoever, whereas it is your main tool against a sorceress. A BvC is instead killed by fissure & grizzly, and a sorceress dies to volcano/grizzly.

I'll give this a try sooner or later. Anything would change on D2PK gear wise? I plan on using Oak over HoW for sure.

on d2pk it's definitely not worth it, due to the buffed synergies you lose such a stupid amount of damage while going for the shaman route.

do it on bnet or just stick to pure fire on d2pk

I'll have to check with max then, he has a nice fire orientated druid.
