I wasn't going to test it like this.

I was going to have a Griefz setup with enigma/stormshield/etc... test the damage. Then replace with Fort/phoenix/120/45 helm and test again.

No skill points, just plain attack.



No I'm saying I'm 80% as good as he is. But also keep in mind GM duels don't use oak/how anymore (except dru ofc).

Why would you use how over oak anyway if grief isn't affected by it?

Please give me the ok with this setup or tell me what you want changed. I am only trying to prove that Grief's damage is affected by ED%, NOT that it is better than EDC...

Both tests will use NO charms, and invest NO skill points. Not sure how I'm gonna do stats yet. Thinking all vita on the non-ED person and all str on the ED person to further prove how effective it is.

Setup 1:

Enigma
Stormshield
Griefz
nothing else

Setup 2:

120/45 helm
Fortitude
Phoenix mon
Griefz

Something like that. Or actually, to prevent ctc i might replace the phoenix with a 160/60 shield or such.

If ED% does not effect Grief, we should expect Setup 2 to do a bit more damage, but not a large amount more.
If ED% does affect Grief, we should expect Setup 2 to do VASTLY more damage.

I have a level 80 barb who's been rushed last night

It'l be geared by the end of the night tonight and I'll be doing this test myself

Already told you guys, expect accurate results by tommorow at the latest



Only thing I'd appreciate though, is if anyone has an EDC to lend
It's quite a pain in the ass to find this late into D2

* Trang Gloves / Drac (we won't be using drac for tests, obv reasons)
* Gore Rider and War Trav
* Highlord's
* Raven
* FCR Ring, be nice if it added dmg


He'll need a random torch//anii
and some random GCs with a lame ass amount of +max


It won't be a perfect barb but it will be an adequate test for the general pubber

Specifics about the methodology you will be using? I assume normal attack or something, ww is too difficult to accurately measure.
