hybrids dont have max mindblast and weaker ww.

hybrid are more "rounded" chars. ghosts are specific for killing casters.

however, i find ghosts a lot funner and satisfying to kill w/o using traps

Much weaker ww i would say.Ghosts are the ultimate casters killers ( even better than barbs , belive it or not) , but dont do so well against others.Paladins are so-so , not that hard to beat.Hammerdins , however put up a great fight.I would say hammer > ghost. On the other hand , barb is obviously ghost's worst enemy.

I find ghost strong and fun to play.Rather difficult to master though.

hdin is beatable if you are good enough (considering you play perfectly and dont have bad luck that day)

it takes 3 hammers to kill you. and the chance of getting hit is really low if you play well.

mb lets you hit him as soon as he comes close and traps predict that for you

ww across his path if you can read synch well enough and u should win at least 5-3 or 5-4. (but i agree its a close fight)

Takes time and there is little room for mistakes.Since 3 hammers will kill you no matter what.Even 2 and some lucky charges.
Mindblast spamming is good but no enough.You have to proc open wounds one way or another.And you take a risk everytime you get close to him trying to ww.Count high defence and max block.
Thats why i said hammer > ghost.But yes , beatable.

So...using gulli face with 40 ed jewel vs paladins and barbs.

How about i start seaching for a visionary helm with shadow skills , life and 2 sox (2 x 40 ed).Would this be better ? I have 14k ar right now.

I used to suit up in heavy ds / melee gear vs hdins. Now I use 102fcr and smash them with high-lvl mind blast. If I can see that they're frustrated with this and dashing away without letting a hammer loose here or there, I'll mix it up and tele-whirl (not often though, ofc). Other than that, I've got enough mana and regen to just mb / wof chip them. I'd never classify them as "easy," but they're much more manageable with 102.

never tried 102 vs them, i always loved the heavy hit of ds w/ highlords and a kb fools claw

maybe i should give it a shot

I asked you this pages and time ago...i never tried 102 fcr at all cause of griff and cause i never played trapper before,but playing hybrid now i miss lvl 20 mb hard and any physical damage enchancement againt full block opponent (being a ghost,not a hybrid) will improve that duel by not more then 10% (in theory calculation)...against hammer you will ow to win anyways,why not tele and mb spam faster then relying for some minor damage improvement...this could be also asked about hybrid...
