Well I'm pretty sure everyone recommends having max block on the switch for running and engaging purposes. As for your question, it's
rather difficult to answer. The only difference between a glass cannon (which I think I have a great one), hybrid amazon, and a vita-zon,
is how fast they die, but in the end, they die IF you get caught. There is no way you can get out of a charge/smite or charge lock, WW+stun
move like MB or Leap etc will screw you over, basically anything will screw you over.

If you want to survive in a duel, you just have to plan on running/not getting hit. For my amazon, I never really had any issues with Barbs.
Usually I can just run away (btw just over the desync bp of 150% frw) from them as they leap or teleport to WW. I'll post my amazon I suppose
later on, if someone tells me how to get the pictures to display correctly on the forums (I'm sort of new here to the forums >.<)

I'm also making a vita-zon, just tweaked a bit more to what I mentioned, I'll post some stats and information once I'm done with her.

You run away from BvAs? In my humble experience thats like inviting death. Pretty much everything with teleport is waaaay more mobile than I am and I have close to 170% frw on switch. I can never outrun a BvA.

Desynch definitely does keep me alive when moving but I seem to desynch just as much whilst walking as I do whilst running and I have 3x the chance to block. I really don't feel comfortable switching to run when I see a Barb leaping on my screen. If I see them leap then I assume they have already namelocked me and the only thing I can do is prepare for them to teleport on top of me and long whirl. If they didn't grab a namelock then thats great. For me. As soon as I see a barb leaping I switch to walk and decoy. Usually if they are that close to me I'm already walking anyway and I already have titans/ss out.

You are right, you should use walk (i think i was more to the idea of getting out of WW's way).
Funny, I'm saying this, but if you can't kill them by the time they're on you, you're dead anyways.
I guess it's down to technique in running/attacking.

Oh I agree its only a matter of time. The longer it goes on the greater the chance that your dodges fail and something gets through your block. When the BvA stomps me it turns into a race between who can kill who first and the duel normally ends pretty quickly after that. Mostly the BvA wins. With titans you can really hurt the barb when he misses whirls b/c of desynch. I was taking like 3mm off the barb's health bar yesterday with every LF that hit. I couldn't kill him in one pass. I really need to survive 3 or more passes to have enough time to make a kill and thats tricky because alot of things have to go right. They have to miss or your block/dodges have to hold up. You can't have too many dodges firing cuz then you miss LF and don't do enough damage.

You can win as a Hybrid when it comes to that but I think a lot of things come down to serendipity.

For example, I've noticed more than once that I went into dodge lock when all I needed was 1 or 2 more LFs to make a kill. I remember dying like that yesterday.

If you get stomped and your block fails on the first long whirl then you can just die instantly.

If your ping is higher than usual you can misjudge the distance the barb is closing and switch to jav/ss too late and the barb whirls you with your bow out (aka instant death). I was doing this quite alot in the first couple of duels because it was a pretty laggy game and it threw my timing off. I got used to it after a few deaths though and late in the game it didn't happen anymore.

Assuming perfect execution and good walking/attacking/decoying it is possible to win against a really good BvA. Just don't count on doing it regularly because it won't happen. My question with Vitazon is this. How do you deal with BvA in situations like this? I'm so used to dealing with it using Titans/SS I just cannot imagine doing it with a bow. I don't think I've ever killed a BvA with a bow actually. Its always been lightning fury.

Wat do you think of making one similar to this but not maxing the passive skills only making them around 50% and making her hybrid?
