From what I've herd,
Fortitude adds damage but the damage is not shown on the character screen because of a bug.
If you smite someone (use a zak 46-46 dmg shield) with fort on; then smite them without it, you should see the difference.
Now, assuming that fortitude adds 300% damage ... would you use enigma or fortitude?
Enigma: +2skills (boosts smite, holy shield, and fant aura and give 60+ str) to dmg
Fortitude: 300% Enhanced damage, some resist
I herd someone say work your way up to nigma... I'm working my way up to Fort... should I even bother?
you need 175 res to have max all res... i broke it down and was able to use enigma... but ill keep a fort in stash for the ubers probably... depending on the dmg difference i can notice...
175
-72 from up'ed um'ed hoz
-30 from quests
-15 from um'ed shako
-28 from maras (or more or less) can be made up in charms
-30+ considering you have hellfire torch and an anni with 15+ res on both
equals zero... and you can still have some res on charms... so in short a smiter is A VERY FLEXIBLE build and should be built for what your using it for... I am thinking about using it to replace needing a hammerdin but i bet id be screwed in act w4 with iron maiden...
Yea, I don't think you should use a smiter to replace your hammerdin.
It's a nice support char in PVM and awsome for the Bosses ans Ubers but slow against groups of minions... esp in 8ppl games.
Also, you're right about being owned in A4.
My next char is going to be a FoH/Smite pally...
I have all three armours now: Coh, Nigma, and Fort ... have yet to use the Fort because of I need str bonuses.
Yep, a pure smiter is very verstile indeed. I'll have to see how verstile a FoH/Smite is.
Oh, and Konieczny ... I'll message you in a the game sometime ... just at a random time when I'm geared up and ready.
I'd like to try your barb.
If you're like this other zerker barb I fought, I won't win. I use a phase but I'd like to practice and than pubs will be ever easier...
I've beaten many mediorce pub barbs ... only a few have given me a run for my money ... but to be honest, I try to avoid any barb...
I let em come to me.
Also, I'll wait until this lag passes ... has been pretty bad the last couple days.
