I made one of these gf barbs...and had a problem like ECLIPZE did....Hell was out of the question for me and my merc, but i could fly through nm trav and pic up 100k easy most times, plus the items i grabed would total another 10-100k.


While i'm posting this, DeadSexytd, i'd like your permission to mention this guide, and you in the gf barb guide i'm working on. After all this is the only gf barb guide i've read, and if it wasn't for this guide i never would of made one to begin with.

then there's something weird with you guys, because mine is working well.
WC takes about 40 mana to cast, so it's literally impossible that you make 1 WC and run out of mana.
Also I do hell, and my merc dies only when he gets amp'd when bosses have fana.

go and learn using hero editor a_a

I must be doing something wrong here.
I have done everything just like the guide says and I can't last 20 seconds in hell. I try and warcry all the mobs around the archway but they take all my mana before they get stunned.
NM is easy and fast, but its 1/3 the gold as hell.

are you sure you're stunning everything within the range with war cry?
spam it untill all mobs have those "swirlys" above their heads, simple as that.

my barb has 5.4k life @ lvl 90, almost 500mana without ANY +mana from equipment, which is equivalent to 10+ warcries
max ligt+fire resists on hell
merc has max fire res

fix your SP char, not the guide.

Okay, I've tried it a few more times now and it gets easier. But still I'd say half of the games I either get a mana burn mob, or one with some nasty aura that destroys me.
It takes me about 2 minutes to do hell and i get around 800k gold and half the time i either lose my merc, die myself or have to leave game because of bad spawns.
And on NM it takes like 30 seconds and i never lose anything and get around 250k.

Maybe doing Hell just takes more practice but for now I'm sticking with NM runs. Thoughts?

perhaps change your mercs weapon? go with ebotd gpa for the time, and "learn the ground"
get your resists to 60+ if you dont have them by now

this really speeds up your run!
this merc doesnt die so quickly and he gets lifetap chance on hit,
from ur last wish. he also fades from last wish
and personally i have a beast in swith, i switch it with one of my
ali lemlems to speed merc up even more.
-> this way you can do hell travi runs in baalgames.
(more players = more loot, read it on some forums under mf issues)
for find item i switch back to dual ali lemlems and hork em.
average gold each run: 700-900K.
time: 2 mins.
keep in mind that u also get more rares in a full baalgame, since more
items drop.
