If it's non tap duels than ss is a good option. But vs exile it wouldn't do to well. An example of a non tap setup with ss (there are many)

And why don't you like grief? I think about a zealer/smiter (pvm baal and public duel pk ) and grief maybe a better choice for me

Grief is a better choice but is also considered bm in gm melee so not really an option. If it's gm for you than go for it.
