I'm very good at finding laptop computer deals. 1st things to get out of the way. What screen size are you looking for? Are you going to be carrying this laptop around? Are brands you particularly like/dislike? What kind of warranty are you looking for (Asking because some companies like Asus offer standard 2 year warranty).

Don't really care about brands tbh. I do like toshibas but don't really care one way or the other. Prob like 16-17" since I would be carrying it around sometimes.

This is actually kinda hard lol. IDK how important reliability is to you, because powerful gaming laptops don't usually go hand in hand with being moved around on a daily basis. "Newer games on max settings" Depends on the newer game, if we're talking the new final fantasy MMO, that's just not happening without spending $2000 on a laptop. And such a heavy laptop will most likely fail within 2 years of being moved around.

If its for school and you're gonna be moving the laptop around everyday (like I do), I HIGHLY recommend a business grade laptop. This includes HP Elitebooks, Dell Latitudes, and Lenovo Thinkpads. These babies are made of high quality materials, built like tanks, have matte instead of glossy screens, higher screen resolution, and have a failure rate of under 1%. These laptops can only be custom ordered online, not available in stores.

EDIT: I saw that suggestions you got in the other forum. DO NOT BUY A REFURBISHED LAPTOP. The toshiba however is a good choice for your needs.

Ah yeah I don't like used electronics tbh lol. And that does make sense it is mostly for school and tbh I'm not a huge gamer outside of a few games I play. So the toshiba should last then?

That laptop you linked has a few problems. The 5400 rpm Hard Drive will mean slower load times for you. AMD processors also hog more power so your computer will heat more and use more battery life. Wouldn't recommend it.
