No PvM works differently to PvP, i.e. in PvM open wounds causes monsters to stop regenerating life, the same cannot be said about PvP.
The mechanics of grief could equally work differently without a PvP penalty
And anyway, can you actually give PROOF that it works better in PvM in the first place? So far you've just made a statement without justification and assumed it to be fact ( the same way you did about grief's damage in PvP ).
If you can prove that the damage formula, other than pvp penalty, ever acts differently in pvp (regarding ED modifiers and wpn dmg), please do.

Yes, it is. tudey's ENTIRE PREMISE is that the SOLE reason Grief is any good at ALL is because the +400 damage is applied after the PvP penalty. If this were true, Grief would suck in pvm.
tudey says the damage in the character screen is CORRECT for Grief
