Yet people still cheat/disregard them, it happens =/

I was beating peoples 20k+ zealers with my 4k fury druid on NL, but I agree you do need a bit more funds than in caster dueling, but you don't need to be super rich, 10k can make a zealer that can go toe to toe with most anyone

if you're pubbing yes, ofc it happens.

a 500 fg necro still stands a chance if he lands one extra hit on a 50k fg necro. doesnt work that way in melee.

and 10k isnt a small amount to 90% of jsp

True, but it's to each their own, I did melee because I got tired of casters and I just wanted to relax etc... and the Melee community is 100% more mature than the rest of Jsp

you dont need to be uber rich to compete ..

a zealer won last nights tourney that is relatively poor compared with some of the other zealers in the tourney with perfect gear and godly vis helms ..

more of it falls to chance than non melee players realize ..

sometimes you could get 6-1 beat by someone .. turn around and beat them 6-4 next day .. etc ..

So gear increases the chance of u winning, its a gamble basically, there is no skill involved at all, i dont get the point of it thats what i'm saying, wheres the fun lol.

Like I said it's not easy to explain, you just have to do it, obviously it's fun or else there wouldn't be such a good community. The strategy of melee is gear selection and swaps, it's like chess sometimes. Gear increases your chances of winning in caster duels also, but someone with good bur not perfect gear can still beat someone with high end gear.

that is so wrong my 5 fg shako > 20k+ visos

there isnt skill like in caster duels no ..

more respect goes to GG casters imo ..

but gear does increase chance of winning yes ..

if you at least meet a certain standard tho you have the possibility of winning a set with a better geared player ..

its fun ..

get involved with it .. you might like it ..

also you meet lots of decent gm people playing gm melee ..

we are a community .. and we dont trash talk each other like insecure kids do in pub ..

dont get me wrong .. caster community has its share of gm people ..

but shako is not > dave or uqbars vis .. or brunos defense vis ..

but those represent a very small percentage ..
