Quick tips, not that you asked lol I just love talking zons:

You can get some easy free resists by trading your dex gloves for a pair with res. The stats are nice and all but resist are hard to get if you don’t wanna swap a million sc so for me it’s a time saver

Also I think min dmg on the ring is overrated. I think leech or rep goes a lot further. More survive = more dmg over time

I also love gores over Travs but both work

Shadow bow > diamond bow - higher max dmg. the diamond bow doesn’t do enough dmg to put someone in a recovery animation on a crit. That animation or knockback can get you another free hit or 2

Also I love 15/40 ss for the speed and dmg, I don’t ber my ss cuz if I need dr I wear dungo or string of ears for forgo some fcr.

This is all nitpick but I love the setup you already have

Changed to 3/xx/19-20scs to see if more life is nicer (sadly only gained like 300 life)

My other zon uses the fcr frw skill helm setup with mat bow but same everything else

How do you like the SCs over GCs?

Ehh if I could do it over again I probably would just stay gc’s. I gained like 200-300 life lol. Lost similar damage. I put the gcs on my trihybrid for now. I kinda like the versatility in gc’s giving more damage, and AR. But I’d say either way you’re good.

More value in sc’s if you’re going for high frw, more value in gc’s if you want more damage. The life trade-off isn’t significant. I’m considering doing a few frw scs then rest gcs or something.

One thing I have been exploring is boots.

So I just said gores is what I’ve been wearing but it is mostly only effective vs necro. I think war Travs is the better way fo go overall for dps, but one thing I’ve been exploring is crafted blood boots.

So I team duel a lot and in teams, rep life and life leech are huge. Zons also struggle with resists.

Blood boots give me a chance to get:

30 frw (5 more than Travs)
10 fhr (frees up 2sc’s)
Resists would be huge
Leech always helps off the summons
Replenish life to help live longer to keep providing DPS (my zon has 18 but these boots can get me to the 33 gm limit if I get a gg pair with 15 rep)
+life always helps


So it’s like the trade off is 400 ish dmg for all those benefits.
I think it’s worth getting for swaps worst case.

Thanks for the info man. I played a ton of bowa in og d2 but haven’t kept up with changes in d2r. Super curious what hour tribrid setup is like if you’re willing to share.

Yeah it essentially uses the skill hell/mat bow setup, just different skill allocation. This thread will be updated in the next day or so.

so shadow bow is best in slot for pvp? and why is that

best in slot for tele zon, allows you to reach 68 fcr with highest dmg possible. if you use fort, id still go gmb unless you doing some kinda hybrid.
