Test the guy did was fine lol.. you just dont know how DS works.

What do you mean, what is the error I made?

Are you saying DS is applied to the base damage BEFORE the +400 is added in?

read tudey's guide, it goes through examples of how DS, is calculated. Over here, its late and I'm off to sleep.

Hopefully by the morning you'll have discovered the truth..

Unlike “Grief”, which is not affected by Damage Multipliers in any way, shape or form due to the +400 Damage being calculated after a full hit and then added after PvP penalties – EDC receives full Damage Multipliers from Strength.

This is COMPLETELY incorrect, Grief is affected by all off-weapon ED% modifiers, this has been shown time and time again to be a result of the Lying Character Screen.

I couldn't care less how skilled he is, he's wrong about the mechanics of the game.

Since “Grief” has additive damage that is calculated after PvP penalties, it is unaffected by both Axe Mastery and Whirlwind Damage multipliers.

Lololol that's a good one.

Well tbh that AR calculation is not well explained, but I never catch the time to check it. Tomorrow maybe.

The order of damage mechanics for Grief..., FIRST base weapon damage, THEN weapon ED% (from sup), THEN +400 damage, THEN everything else, including off-weapon ED%, skill ED%, and DS...

How can you claim that the +400 damage doesn't work with it, yet your +3 max charms magically do? It's the exact same mod.

The problem here is that you are assuming that +400 damage means the same thing as +400 minimum damage and +400 maximum damage, but it's not. I know it looks like sematics but it's not and that's why so many people are still using grief.

If you know math at all, f(x)=x^2/x can be made to look like g(x)=x, but g(x) has a value at 0 while f(x) does not. So while these functions act very similar for the most part, they aren't the same. The same applies to +damage and +min/+max damage. So even though +dmg looks pretty similar to having +max and +min at the same time that doesn't mean it's the same thing. For example +damage works for smite and +max/+min does not. This means you cannot treat them the same in any calculations.
